Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur
Rosh Hashanah begins Friday evening, September 11 and ends Sunday night, September 13. Yom Kippur begins Sunday evening, September 20 and ends Monday night, September 21.
Services are open to everyone. No tickets, no membership. Walk in, sit anywhere, stay as long as you can — whether you have been to services a hundred times or never. An RSVP is not required for services, though it helps us prepare. The holiday dinners do need one, and you can RSVP for everything in one place.
This year is different
The shofar is on Sunday.
The first day of Rosh Hashanah falls on Shabbos, so the shofar is not sounded on Saturday, September 12. Every shofar blowing — in shul, at Hermann Park, and at the bedside — happens on Sunday, September 13. Tashlich moves to Sunday as well.
