Chabad House Happenings

Dear Friends,

One week to Pesach. As we prepare our homes for the holiday of Pesach, removing all Chometz, we also do the spiritual work of removing the "chometz" arrogance and deceit from our hearts. For many interesting articles and insights into this beautiful holiday of Redemption go to chabadtmc.org/pesach

One there  you can fill out the form to sell your Chametz, reserve places at the Aishel House Seders for both nights, and order Matzoh. We have a limited supply of Matzo left, so reserve yours asap.

Dear Friends,

Today is Rosh Chodesh Adar Sheini. It is a time when we increase our joy which breaks all barriers and all sorrow. Especially this year, when we have tw months of Adar, we can double our joy! May the joy of Adar and the upcoming holiday of Purim wipe away all war, sorrow, and pain. May all the world know only peace and joy. On that note...

We wish a hearty Mazel Tov to Rabbi Menachem Lazaroff upon his upcoming marriage to Shterna Karp this Monday in Brooklyn, NY. If you are in NY, come by to wish him to Razag Hall to wish him Mazel Tov!

Services will continue as usual at Aishel House. Next Shabbos, we will be joined by the new bride and groom and their extended families for Sheva Brochos. Join us!

Good Shabbos!

Dear Friends,

This Monday we will mark the yahrtzeit of the Rebbe's partner and Rebbetzin, Chaya Mushka, z"l. Chabad Rebbetzins from around the world have gathered in NY for the International Shluchos Conference taking place this weekend in her honor.

Our shluchos interns, Henya and Brynie are representing Aishel House at the conference and we look forward to their return with new inspiration for the coming months!

We would also like to wish a warm Mazel Tov to Joshua Goldberg upon his completion of studies and graduation from UCLA. May you harness the knowledge you have learned to make the world a better place for us all!

Good Shabbos!

The Aishel House Gala is in a week from Sunday! This year promises to be a beautiful and inspring evening.

We will have a hybrid gala event this year. The gala will be live streamed as it was last year AND we will have an in-person option come and enjoy a beautiful evening together in celebration of the mitzvos done at Aishel House every day! www.aishelhouse.org/gala

Dear Friends,

This is our Shabbos! The Torah portion of this week tells us of the first Aishel House in the world, established by Abraham in the desert as an oasis of nourishment, comfort and warmth. Join us for a Shabbos of all of the above!

We are still looking for a good used vehicle for our interns' Mitzvah Mobile. If you know someone who has a vehicle they would like to donate, let us know.

Good Shabbos!

Dear Friends,

Our Aishel House Mitzvah Mobile (aka our interns' car) is no longer drivable. If you or someone you know has an older car that was ready to retire and you would like to donate it to Aishel House, please contact us. There are so many Mitzvos it can do every day!

We welcome NCSY of New Jersey to Aishel House for Shabbos and look forward to an inspiring and fun filled Shabbos. Join us for prayers as listed in our calendar!

Good Shabbos!

Dear Friends,

"And Yaakov went on his way". After a month of holiness, inspiration and celebration, we are ready to take all that was accumulated and apply to the coming year. May it be a great one!

Mazel tov, to Rabbi Menny and Tonia Chazanow upon the birth of a baby boy! May they bring him into the Covenant of our forefather, Abraham, and raise him into a life of Torah, Chupah, and Good Deeds! Mazel tov!

Chabad House Happenings

Dear Friends,

Many of us have been following the devastating building collapse in Surfside Florida. As we grieve for those who passed away and pray for the recovery of those who are unaccounted for, we are reminded that with all of the advances in engineering and technology, we can have absolute trust in G-d and G-d alone.

This Sunday begins the period of the "Three Weeks" when we commemorate the destruction of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and the ensuing exile to this day. Our Sages tell us that the cause of the destruction of the Temple was lack of love for our fellow and the antidote is unconditional love.

Many of the Jewish residents of 8777 Collins were members of the Shul of Bal Harbour which is a few blocks away. If you would like to donate to assist the victims of this tragedy you can go to www.theshul.org/8777 to make a direct donation.

May the outpouring of love, empathy and togetherness bring about the end of all suffering and the coming of Moshiach!

Good Shabbos,

 Dear Friends,

This Sunday we will mark the 27th yahrtzeit of the Rebbe, z"l who transformed the Jewish world in his lifetime and whose impact continues to grow from year to year.

In honor of this special day, we will have a Farbrengen Kiddush this Shabbos to inspire one another to fulfill his wishes to make the world the best it can be with the coming of Moshiach.

On Sunday morning, Rochel and I will travel to NY to visit his resting place and and for the Rebbe's blessings for our community. If you have specific requests that you would like to convey please contact me and I will include you in my prayers.

With best wishes for a good Shabbos and an inspiring Gimmel Tammuz,

Rabbi Lazer & Rochel Lazaroff

Dear Friends,

As the summer rains begin, (which follows the spring, winter and fall rains) we once again bid farewell to our interns who served the community so faithfully throughout the year.

With the unusual circumstances that we all experienced this year, we are delighted that Mussy Schapiro joined us for a second year to provide comfort, friendship, companionship and joy to Aishel House residents and to the children of Chabad at the Medical Center.

Please join us this week's Shabbos kiddush as we thank her for her two years of service to the community and wish her well on her continued journey where we are certain she will continue to bring light to the world.
